The British School of Nanjing is an independent, British-run organisation established to provide high value education to the expatriate community of Nanjing. The school was established in the 2007/2008 academic year in response to demand from the local international community. Its principal aim continues to be the provision of excellent educational based on the English National Curriculum. The school is governed by a Board of Directors of The British Schools Foundation that delegates powers for the day-to-day running of the school on the Headteacher. The British School of Nanjing is a member of COBIS (Council of British International Schools) and is registered at the Qualification and Curriculum Authority in the UK and is fully licensed by the Chinese authorities.
