So the website says “swim with dolphins” but after reading the reviews it doesn’t look like you’re actually swimming with them? Do people actually get to swim with and touch the dolphins or are they just seeing them from afar?

Our experience was the following. The boat takes swimmers out to where the dolphins are. Everyone gets into the water and can see the dolphins and in our case turtles. As the dolphins are wild, no one touched any dolphins. My wife did have a large sea turtle swim with her, very close by, for several yards. We also had dolphins swimming very close to the boat while the boat was in motion. Overall, between the boat ride, the dolphins. the turtles, the view, and the crew, we truly enjoyed the day.

Hi, I brought my son who is 5 years old, and he managed snorkel by holding hand with me. He really enjoyed it! We all wear life jackets. There are several staff swim with us as guards. We were able to see dolphins and turtles! I can’t really remember how long the boat took to get to the spot. 30-40 minutes to the snorkeling spot, and then about 10 mins to another area to enjoy the water activity. They provide a list band for motion sickness @ $20. Some of tourists bought it. We didn’t buy and we were ok. While the boat was taking us to the spots, we had some entertainment. Ceremony to pray for the sea, dance by the staff... On the way back, they provide simple lunch. We didn’t feel much that the ride was long. If you really worry about motion sickness, you may want to buy the list band or take some medicine to prevent. Beside the motion sickness, I recommend the tour! Enjoy!!
Are the morning tours as crowded as the later tours? Is there really up to 70 people on each tour? That would seem to be too many for a peaceful wildlife viewing experience. Also, does the company ensure that the dolphins are not chased or harassed? I've been reading some things about how the Marine Mammal Protection Act discourages swimming less than 50 yards from Hawaiian spinner dolphins. Does this tour follow those guidelines?

It will depend upon the day. The 11:00 trip wasn't too crowded. Take advantage of sitting up on top if they allow it.

My husband is worried about what camera to bring - he is planning to be on the boat mostly but might get in the water some. Is there a place to secure his camera if he brings the expensive one while he is in the water? I'm planning on having a gopro with me in the water.
