One of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. No doubt this is known as the most beautiful waterfall of the whole Europe. I really liked the unusual location the waterfall is located. There …chathuandishanka的完整评论

Haifoss is one of the 2 truly unforgettable hikes within 2 hours drive from Reykjavik. The other was Glymur. There is a parking lot, probably big enough for 30 cars. The views of Haifoss and adjacen…MichaelC11862的完整评论

We drove 1800 miles in Iceland over 2 weeks and saw all the major sights and this is one of my very favorite. This is a series of several waterfalls that plunge into a canyon. You can see them from…lovetotravel560的完整评论
Hey, thinking about joining a tour for Haifoss. But, Google does not provide any. Could you pass few options? Thanks. Thinking to visit at end of July or mid September. We are group of five adults.

Hi, I'm interested in hiking to Haifoss. Is this possible, or is it only accessible by driving up the bumpy road? If it's hike-able do how long does it take? Thanks Linzi

I would like to travel from Haifoss to Gullfoss. On google maps it show that after leaving the road to Haifoss I can turn left, go north on an unnamed road. There is a break in the road near Tindfjallajökull and then it continues and turns into 349 near Tungufell. By break I mean I can see the road but google maps does not recognize this section as drivable. On my International Travels Maps of Iceland, it shows this route as an unpaved seasonal road. We will be driving a (highly insisted upon by my husband) Hummer. My question is: Would we be able to drive through this unnamed, unpaved seasonal road in early August?

We used the very same map to drive on that road, albeit from Gullfoss to Haifoss last late September. It is a 4WD dirt road, and it was graded (i.e. no ruts), but no potholes. You will need to make about 8 river crossings, but compared to other places we drove in Iceland these are not major but you will need to check the depth of some of them, even with the Hummer. Do allow time once you get close to Gullfoss to take the side road which takes you to a walking track to the opposite side of Gullfoss - great view, no crowds! This is not far after you turn left at Sandalda, on your right.
I'm wondering if it is possible to get to Haifoss with a 4x4 vehicle in the first week of April?

I went in summer with a 2WD (a Toyota Yaris) and don't see any reason why you should not be able to get to the place with a 4WD once snow has somehow cleared a bit. Road is OK even for a 2WD with just a couple of difficult spots. It takes time, though.
