I can only tour the first floor due to not being able to climb stairs, while my husband can tour the whole house...is it OK that I stay only to the first floor on the tour and then go into the gift shop?

The staff at the House Museum are very accommodating. I am sure that they will work out a plan for you. The main florr is the best area of the house to visit

We ate our lunch there. We had wraps and salad, and while simple, they were delicious. A local caterer provides the food. It's a relaxing spot to eat, too.
