Do it though, just take it easy and stop as necessary for a breather. The walk to Cathedral Cove is well worth the effort. At the Cove, look for the loo with a view, sited up amongst the trees. All the best.

I'm not sure, sorry. it's about half an hour drive from Whitianga from memory. Maybe you could search to see if there is a day trip bus that can take you there. A car is your best option …
