Two 13-year-old boys were shot in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday night after an attempted carjacking, police said.

The owner of a car shot two teen car theft suspects after confronting them in an alley in Philadelphia. The incident occurred a little after 6 p.m. when a neighbor saw four teenagers trying to steal a Honda that was parked behind the owner’s house. The neighbor called the owner to tell him what was happening.

According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the man got a call from a neighbor stating that four juveniles appeared to be breaking into his Honda.
