All of Rhode Island except Block Island is under a Winter Storm Watch until 4 p.m. Sunday. Cities and towns around Providence got up to X inches of snow Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to NWS totals reported by members of the public and local weather spotters.

Most of Rhode Island is expected to get around five inches of snow this weekend for what could be this season's biggest storm so far, according to the National Weather Service's latest forecast. NWS Boston has issued a winter storm watch for all of Rhode Island, except Block Island, which is only expected to see one to three inches of snow.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island is ready for Saturday night's expected snowfall, according to Gov. Dan McKee. McKee said the Rhode Island Department of Transportation will have its crews report for duty well ahead of the storm.
