Mayor Tiffany Henyard will soon see an end to her leadership in a Chicago suburb. After years of scandals and questions about her decisions and leadership style, the mayor has been defeated in a Democratic primary and won’t be on the ballot for the upcoming general election.

With all precincts reporting, House had nearly 88% of the vote, compared to Henyard's 12%. It was a convincing defeat for Henyard, who had won 82% of the vote when she won the race for mayor in 2021.
