Princess Beatrice announced she was taking on a new patronage in her first public statement since giving birth. The Princess has been made patron of Borne, a charity dedicated to funding research into the causes of premature birth.

Princess Beatrice has been pictured for the first time since the birth of her second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi. The 36-year-old, who also shares three-year-old Sienna with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, gave birth to Athena on January 22.
