Brave New World” is, by official count, the 35th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that began in 2008 with “Iron Man.” It’s also the fifth in the series of interconnected storylines known as MCU’s Phase 5,

Brave New Soldier follows in the footsteps of three installments for Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and four Avengers films when Rogers recruited Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, The Incredible Hulk and more to combat threats to the world and universe.

This is evident in Anthony Mackie taking over the lead role from Chris Evans (Steve Rogers) in “Captain America: Brave New World”, the fourth film in the Marvel franchise. Of course, Mackie, who comes from the “Avengers” universe is no stranger to this world as he’s played Sam Wilson/ Falcon in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” (2014) and “Captain America: Civil War” (2016).
