Originally attributed to Pieter Pourbus, a Flemish Renaissance artist who worked in Bruges during the 16th century, the painting depicts an austere man and his young daughter in matching ruffs.

The Getty Museum has bolstered its collection of Spanish works with a painting by 16th-century master Luis de Morales.

Experts believe there is a fresco painted by Leonardo Da Vinci hidden behind a later one by Giorgio Vasari after pigments were found matching his work.
