Marijuana use may be linked to a higher risk of heart attack, heart disease and stroke, according to two preliminary studies presented at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2023.

Scientists analyzed data on nearly 435,000 patients, ages 18 to -74, to see if there was a link between marijuana use and a higher risk of heart disease, stroke, or a heart attack.
