I like to teach repetition, onomatopoeia ... memorize a poem — and have our kids memorize one, too. It’s so rich to have those words hanging around our brains.

You could use alliteration the busy bee buzzed by, onomatopoeia with words like splash ... It helps them work out what kids are interested in: from politics to world events, celebrities to ...

Does being forced to sit in time-out ever make little kids stop ... uses both onomatopoeia (‘whistling’) and alliteration (the ‘w’ sound is at the start of both words).
