More than 20 earthquakes have hit central and southeast Asia in the last 24 hours, with one of the most powerful in 75 years in Myanmar.

The seismic event highlights Myanmar’s vulnerability to earthquakes, largely due to its location along the Sagaing Fault, a major tectonic boundary between the Indian Plate and the Burma microplate.
