Star Wars Celebration 2025 has seen a slew of new announcements so far, including a theatrical film starring Ryan Gosling that will hit theaters in 2027. And now, fans of the Star Wars animated universe have something to look forward to: a brand-new series featuring fan-favorite villain Darth Maul.

Darth Maul is set to return for a new Star Wars animated project! Lucasfilm has confirmed they are developing a new series titled Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord , with Sam Witwer returning to voice the fan-favorite Sith survivor.
