There are hopes Alexander Isak could be fit to feature against West Ham after the forward was pictured being put through his paces in Newcastle training on Wednesday. Isak missed Newcastle’s Premier League defeat at Liverpool due to a groin problem but returned to Eddie Howe’s starting XI at Brighton on Sunday.

Darren Eales, the Newcastle United chief executive, has accused people of disrespecting the club by constantly talking about their best players leaving and declared they have no intention of selling Alexander Isak in the summer.

According to reports, Liverpool and Arsenal target Alexander Isak is ‘open’ to a Newcastle United contract extension ‘on one condition’. Isak has emerged as one of the best strikers in Europe, as he’s grabbed 22 goals and five assists in his 31 appearances across all competitions this season.
