Health officials warn of measles risk at Texas State and San Marcos restaurant
People who were at Texas State University from approximately 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Twin Peaks Restaurant from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. may be at risk of developing measles. Matthew Gonzales, the Hays County Health Department Manager, confirmed to KVUE that the infected person had been vaccinated.

The measles outbreak that began in West Texas has now grown to well over 100 cases, with confirmed cases across Texas and New Mexico and possible exposures as far away as San Antonio and San Marcos.
More than 120 measles cases reported in Texas' South Plains region
The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is reporting 124 cases as of Tuesday, Feb. 25. Gaines County – where the outbreak began in late January – bears the brunt of those cases, with 80. Other counties with cases include Dallam, Dawson, Ector, Lubbock, Lynn, Martin, Terry and Yoakum.
The Hays County Health Department said a Gaines County resident visited San Marcos, where Texas State is located, on Feb. 14.
