People are still mostly buying new games, sometimes even still on a disc from Best Buy or Walmart. Streaming a game to your phone or TV over the cloud remains pretty niche.

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass February 2025 Wave 2 lineup, which kicked off with Obsidian entertainment’s single-player fantasy role-playing game Avowed on February 18.

If Microsoft succeeds, Game Pass could come to Sony's PlayStation and give players a way to play Xbox's games on rival platforms for the first time.

The Xbox Game Pass content catalog receives two more February 2025 titles, only one of which is available on the Standard tier.
