Baylor University's elder American black bear mascot, Judge "Lady" Sue Sloan, died Tuesday at the age of 23, the university announced.

Baylor University has announced that beloved mascot Judge Sue "Lady" Sloan has passed away.

She will be cremated and permanently honored alongside her sister Joy in an on-campus memorial that will celebrate the past, present, and future of the Baylor Bear Habitat later this year.
