BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – One person was struck by gunfire in the 7300 block of Airline Highway on Monday, Feb. 26, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

A 56-year-old woman was found dead in a hotel room near Airline Highway and Interstate 12 in Baton Rouge, and police are investigating her death as a homicide, according to a news release.
