Since 1996, Aboriginal art dealers Werner and Elena Obermeier have worked from their home on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, dealing with Indigenous-owned remote art centres from across Australia.

The gallery was crowded with people. It was the first ever major Aboriginal art exhibition in London. It was a hot summer’s night, and this distinguished-looking man with a white beard came in.
