OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – A teacher is recovering after she fell 20 feet from a chair lift. The woman, who was not identified by name, fell at the Holly Ski & Snowboard Resort in Oakland County’s Groveland Township on Wednesday.

Video of the aftermath quickly making rounds online, shared by accounts such as @failresorts, showing the skier on the ground next to the chair as the lift continues to run above him. According to witnesses, the man was conscious and walking after the fall. No one else was injured in the incident.

A woman was injured after falling off the chair lift at Mt. Holly Ski Resort this afternoon, the Groveland Township Fire Department announced.

New Hampshire authorities continue to investigate after a man fell 20 feet at Attitash Mountain on Sunday when the ski lift chair he was riding on crashed to the ground, according to a Monday statement from the office of state Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey.

Another teacher, Terry Christensen, was chaperoning a school trip of boys from Frontier International Academy in Hamtramck. He says he rushed over to the scene.
