BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Northern Whatcom County got a double whammy from Mother Nature, snow, and winds. Driving north into Lynden, the winds swirled, now into drifts around barns, trees, and ditches.
Sunday night into Monday morning, the low-pressure system that brought moisture to Western Washington met frigid air from Canada to drop up to nine inches of snow across the county.
More affordable housing projects are set to break ground or be completed in 2025 in Whatcom County. Last year, several were finished, creating hundreds of new units.
