The E10D-tc was my favorite, but only barely over the E1D Special. Ranking their overall sound on a scale of 1-10, with the E10D-tc representing a 10, I think the E1D-special was a 9 and the regular E1D was a 6 or 7. My main takeaway from this video is that I'm shocked and impressed how great the E1D-special sounds.

I like my E1D-CLA and consider it a fun guitar, but I think my E2D sounds better. The E2D is also considerably lighter (on par with my D-18 standard). I primarily play fingerstyle using the fleshy parts of my fingertips (and the back of my fingernails for strumming), but over the past year have started learning to flatpick.

Congratulations! I also have an E1D that most likely has a TC top (serial number & color make me think so), and I agree with your general observations, except thst mine has the thickest neck of any Eastman I ever tried (still just "medium plus", not super chunky, eg compared to my Telecasters with "baseball bat" necks).

Thermo cured solid sitka spruce top, quilted sapele b/s, ebony fingerboard, 1 3/4" nut. True tone gloss finish, hand scalloped bracing. Sounds like a nice guitar, can't wait to have it here!

2020年8月23日 · The Eastman website says is Sitka, but i've seen various posts from E1D owners talking about their Adirondack top guitar. I'm assuming they know what they are talking about. Did Eastman offer the E1D in both tops without a name/price difference? Here's a link to an E1D where it says its Adirondack.
