Gordon Arthur "Red" Berenson (born December 8, 1939) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre and head coach of the Michigan Wolverines men's ice hockey team from 1984 to 2017. Berenson was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2005 and the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018.

On April 10, nearly one month after finishing his 33rd season as head coach of the Michigan hockey team, Red Berenson announced he would be retiring. “I’ve thought about this for a long time and I think this is the right time and it’s the right thing to do for the Michigan hockey program,” Berenson said in a press release Monday.
