In my efforts to root out the mysterious Java 1.5.0_11 installation I have hiding somewhere on my PC, I completely uninstalled Java. Now, a search in Explorer turns up nothing, but on the command prompt, if I type "java", it's still there. If I type java -version it says java version 1.5.0_11. How do I find it?

I downloaded Java from their site and installed it but now I cannot find it on my computer! Where can I find it? Im running 'Windows

2016年11月23日 · However, when I type the prescribed command, echo %java_home% it just returns %java_home% as a string, percent signs and all. When I try % java -version down further in the page, it tells me %java isn't a recognized command, program, or batch file. I have Java 8 Update 60 installed, I can see it in my list of programs I can uninstall.

2017年4月2日 · In my case, one jar file was being opened by double click while other was not being opened. I examined those files and the probable reason was that which was being opened, was created using JAVA SE 6 and the one not being opened was created using JAVA SE 7. Although, the problematic jar file was being run via command prompt (java -jar myfile.jar).

2018年1月14日 · However, I was wrong, and now I can only run .jar files form the command line (Using java -jar from the Oracle Java installation). I've installed the JDK (Along with the runtime) and tried to set the association for jar files to the Oracle Java installation using Windows Explorer, but it keeps on referencing the (not working) OpenJDK installation.

2015年10月18日 · I'm trying to run a Java app (JAR file) on a high-DPI display on Windows 10. The app uses Swing and thus isn't DPI-aware. Normally when I run an application that isn't DPI-aware, Windows will scale it for me, albeit blurry. But for some reason it's not scaling the Java app; I just get a tiny little window in the corner with impossible-to-read text.

Secondly, when you write .\MyFirstJavaProgram, Java doesn't seem to be able to read the file name. Instead try making it a forward slash ./MyFirstJavaProgram. Final command ./java.c ./MyFirstJavaProgram. Although, I want to emphasise this, you don't need a ./ on MyFirstJavaProgram because it is an argument, not a script or executable.
