2014年8月22日 · Surface PVC on the exterior of a building's wall is fine. But, remember that PVC expands and contracts more than steel/EMT with heat differential. It can look really ugly when the PVC bows and kinks between the 2-hole straps. Sure, an expansion fitting can be used, but I would stick with steel/EMT for the exterior wall for esthetics.

2024年8月31日 · The other times we use schedule 80 is where it leaves the building. Most specs call for ten feet of schedule 80 or rigid. This is where it leaves through a sleeve in the foundation wall. Funny you mention 'babysitting', I have never been the guy to do this but i have seen the guys doing this many times. They were armed with a bundle of 30" sections of EMT with a coupling attached to one end to go up as the masons progressed.

2019年8月7日 · When I put a pvc lb up against an exterior wall, I cut the short hub clean off, and then I rub the rough edge where the hub was smooth by rubbing it back and forth on the closest concrete sidewalk or garage floor. Then I secure it to the wall using sheetrock screws for wood siding or tapcons for concrete and masonry walls.

DC current conductors coming from solar panels must be in metal conduit once inside the interior of a building. I have no idea if the inside core of an exterior block wall is considered interior or exterior.
