There were already huge spiders in REmake, and in 2R's case for the sewers they used the G mutants more heavily instead, which I think is more unique imo. The spiders in Re7 are house flies compared to the beast in the OG Re2 and 3. Now the mutated jumping spiders in Darkside Chronicles, those things were creepy.
