2020年2月27日 · The smaller your skid house the easier they are to move. In deeper snow an 8′ wide is too difficult to move, a 6 or 6.5 wide is much better. Remember to just spray foam the interior and do not finish off the inside to save on weight. The best house I’ve seen is the ridge line with plastic lined skis.

Just wondering if there is anything to consider as must have’s etc. I’m doing an empire heater. 6.5 x 14 and planning on all 7 holes in a line for live scope if we want.

2021年1月17日 · I drive my Defender and fish house up as one and back it off as one. Easy on easy off. Hardest part is strapping everthing down. My house is 84″ x 150″ which I built to fit my trailer setup. I had an 8.5′ x 22′ PJ deckover tilt prior and that worked as well. You will need a minimum of a 22′ trailer for a 10′ house.

2020年1月1日 · Finally decided to go with the Polar Fox skid house 6-1/2″ x 12′ the house is amazing the composite panels with no seems the thing is air tight holds heat in and cold out very very efficient. I purchased a PJ 22 trailer and had to add 15″ extension on the front so the Tracker 800 and house all fit. loading and unloading is super easy.

2017年12月19日 · I like the pipe idea. 4 one foot pipes, one under each corner of the house 2′ in from the end of the skid. Start pulling and get the momentum with the wheeler and when the skids come off the pipe you just keep going and come back for the pipes later.

2018年1月8日 · I have the biggest, tall ridgeline (14+3’v) and it pulls ok with an old sportsman 700. Probably takes 1min to raise and lower with thier system, but nothing would move faster than a skid house. Hopefully someone has a specific answer, but I would guess skis weigh a lot less than axels, wheels and heavier frame needed on a wheel house.
