Since 1976, Boston’s First Night® has been a New Year’s Eve celebration of artistic performances and the beginning of a new year. In keeping with this fantastic Boston tradition, the First Night celebration will open 2025 with an array of performances.

Established on December 31, 1976 in Boston, First Night® has become a world-famous New Year’s Eve celebration that unites visitors with the City of Boston and the vibrant people who fill its communities.

Ice sculptures make their dazzling return to First Night Boston and celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Massachusetts, which was established in 1775! Historical moments that helped propel the Commonwealth and the country to its independence will be captured in ice.

We’re thrilled to welcome back our First Night Parade that will take colorful and celebratory groups from City Hall Plaza to Boston Common at 6:00 PM. Once the performers pass by, the public is invited to walk along to the Boston Common, where fireworks will begin at 7:00 PM.

Robles is Co-founder and Director of the Veronica Robles Cultural Center that supports community action and economic growth in East Boston and offers Latin American arts and culture programming and provides jobs for youth.

The beloved performance institution has participated in First Night Boston for 25 years, and offers classes in ballet, traditional Chinese dance, contemporary dance, and more. Chu Ling Dance Academy has students of all ages and regularly performs throughout the region.

Epic sing-alongs, expertly crafted harmonies, and musicians who absolutely LOVE to interact with the audience, the Femmes are Boston’s go-to women’s party band! The Femmes have been booked solid since their sold-out debut showcase at Club Cafe in September of 2023.
