The Muharraq Governorate (Arabic: محافظة المحرق, romanized: Muḥāfaẓat al-Muḥarraq) is one of the four governorates of Bahrain. It is now co-extensive with the municipality of Al Muharraq and with Muharraq Island together with outlying islets.

Muharraq (Arabic: المحرق, romanized: al-Muḥarraq) is Bahrain's third most populous city (after the capital Manama and Riffa) and served as its capital until 1932 when it was replaced by Manama.
