For Aang it's also understandable, seeing how he doesn't do Voice Acting anymore, but for the others they could've come back for sure (with how they sound) but honestly I think it's fine to do new voice actors though.

Well they were only voice cast. I don’t know about AtLA, but as voice actors you don’t have to be performing in the same room together- even though it helps- so it’s possible they never worked all too closely together, or weren’t all that close anyway. Also one of them was an adult and the other a child during recording.

All credit to the kid, but I think the direction is super important for child acting. Kids rarely have the experience to really get inside a character's head yet, so it really helps to have a director who can demonstrate the right way to say a line, the right level of emotion, etc, so the kid can see exactly how the line should sound and feel.

Eric Nam is voicing adult Aang, Dave Bautista is an unnamed villain. Other VAs include Jessica Matten (whose website previously said she was playing Katara) Dionne Quan, and Roman Zaragoza It's reiterated that this is the first of three films, but still no info on the next two.
