2009年12月2日 · We have a debate going on in our office, I think the minimum width for an annular plate is 24 from the inside of tank shell as stated on API-650 Section 5.1.5.4, but my co-worker thinks you can use 12 min. distance from the inside of the shell and this brought up a couple of questions. 1. what is the definition of an annular plate?

2010年7月26日 · I have gone through API620 in detail and found no requirement for RT of annular plate, annular plate thickness & width calculation unlike API650. I am just curious about the possible reasons, as API620 tanks seems to be more complex.

2008年6月24日 · The bottom plate sits inside the shell plate and is welded to the annular ring plates. On a tank that doesnt have an annular ring, the bottom plates will extend from underneath the tank shell. There are weld spacing and other dimensions that need to be adhered to, but this is the main difference between annular and bottom plates. Post a Reply...

2014年6月3日 · The annular plate width is always increased by the lap. The width of the annular plate is the same for any bottom slope or lap configuration. Again, my apologies for my first post which says to ignore the lap if the lap is for a cone down bottom. Comments are welcome!

2009年11月20日 · If I apply these rules to below example I get some strange results, where I end up with a higher minimum required thickness for the annular plate as for the critical zone. What ever the outcome should be, to me it does not make sense that the critical zone is allowed to be thinner than the annular plate. Example: Tank details H15.6 m 51.18 feet
