We can all agree that Batista vs Orton made for a very compelling story due to shared background, and Cena vs Edge, short-lived as it may, had a great chemistry. Those 2 feuds started in 2005 & 2006. Things should’ve remained that way.

2005 was a great year for matches inside cages. Elimination Chamber, Batista vs HHH, Flair vs HHH, Matt Hardy vs Edge and Orton vs Undertaker all within the confines of a cage and all amazing matches!

Punk vs Jeff Hardy was way better than Cena vs Orton. Nevermind the fact that Cena vs Orton was played out by 09 having had feuds in 07 and 08 but most of their matches sucked. Punk vs Hardy was the rare heel wins the feud and drives the face away.

That was the premier angle. Batista was obviously the choice.Raw was the premier show and WM21 was really set around Batista vs HHH. They main evented 3 consecutive shows.
