On your computer, Chrome might already be running in the background. To check if Chrome is open and to force close it: Windows. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete. Click Task manager . Under "Processes," click "Google Chrome" or "chrome.exe." Click End task. Mac. Press + Option + Esc. Click Google Chrome Force quit.

2022年3月9日 · Find your "chrome.exe" file. You can right-click your Chrome icon and select "Open File Location" to find it. Or you can do a search for it. Once you find it, rename it to whatever you want. I chose "chromed.exe". And it worked!

2019年7月22日 · I've been using Chrome for several years and have Windows 10 Pro. I've made no changes to my computer today, it was fine this morning. When I double click the Chrome icon, it will not open on my desktop, but it does open on my taskbar. I have restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled chrome, even up dated Windows 10, nothing has fixed it.

When I hover my mouse over the taskbar icon I can see the thumbnail view is open showing the home page, but when I click on it nothing happens. I cannot access the Internet with Google Chrome.
