2022年10月8日 · A commodity has a use value and an exchange value. Gold, in the form of currency, has no use value. It exists only to be exchanged. Without use value it doesn't fulfill Marx's definition of commodity, so, commodity fetishism doesn't apply. There's some "alienation" involved here though, which is definitely related.
