Craspedia glauca, commonly known as billy buttons, [2] is an erect annual or perennial herb endemic to Tasmania. It is usually an annual herb with pale green leaves in a rosette and yellow button-like flowers on a tall stem.

Leaves oblanceolate to linear, 5-15cm or more long, sometimes green and almost glabrous, or hispid and glandular or covered with a loose layer of appressed white hairs. Flower clusters yellow, up to 3cm wide, sometimes to 3.5cm, summer. Temperate Australia from sea level to montane grassland.

C. glauca is a rosette-forming, borderline hardy, variable, evergreen perennial with linear, lance-shaped, or narrowly oblong, hairy, grey-green leaves and stiff, erect stems bearing dense, spherical heads of bright yellow to cream flowers in summer.
