2008年3月10日 · Redbud tree is the one we will probably get. We just wanted to find out about the Dogwood first. We have a plethora of Oak trees in and around our yard. We have one Bradford Pair tree and one Mountain Laural tree (3 feet tall). We are getting more for ornamental reasons. I figured Dogwoods didn't grow well here b/c I never see them around here.

I think the trees are Bradford or Callery pear trees, an ornamental tree that is commonly used along streets and in business parks. The closeup of the flowers looks right, and the other sites I looked at all mentioned the smell. It's the flowers.
