John Douglas Wilson Carswell (born 3 May 1971) is a British former politician who served as a Member of Parliament from 2005 to 2017, co-founded Vote Leave, and since 2021 also serves as president and CEO of the Mississippi Center for Public Policy.

Douglas Carswell is a recognized leader of the liberty movement with a winning record: • 2024 Mississippi education win to fund students, not systems. • 2022 largest tax cut in Mississippi history, moving to a flat 4 percent state income tax (for which Douglas’ team won the State Policy Network’s "Biggest Win for Freedom" Award).
