Our 39-acre Southern California Sanctuary — home to over 100 rescued farm animals — is located on a beautiful hacienda ranch in Acton, just 45 minutes from Hollywood.

Since its formation in 1986, Farm Sanctuary has been a leader in the farm animal rescue movement, connecting thousands of abused, discarded, and neglected farm animals with safe and loving homes through our Farm Animal Adoption Network (FAAN).

Today, at Farm Sanctuary’s Los Angeles, CA and Watkins Glen, NY Sanctuaries you will find nearly 1,000 rescued animals—each with an individual story to tell.

Today, at Farm Sanctuary’s Los Angeles, CA and Watkins Glen, NY Sanctuaries you will find over 600 rescued animals — each with an individual story to tell.

Nestled in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York, the rolling green pastures of Farm Sanctuary’s 275-acre New York shelter are home to more than 400 rescued cows, pigs, turkeys, and other farm animals — and each has a special story.

These efforts help advance our mission to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living.
