Coming from a 20 heat guan yu main (During blood price, though there’s no spear changes in v1.0), here’s a few tips. Get it to max rank. Seriously. It’s unplayable otherwise. Don’t force a heal spin. Only do a spin when you are somewhat safe (You can dash while spinning, which will send the spin the the direction you are dashing.)

2023年10月6日 · Was Guan Yu really as good as he is perceived? I am only recently getting back into ROTK and Dynasty Warriors after a fair few years away. I was travelling in Asia and saw so many statues and shrines dedicated to Guan Yu, be it in Buddhist temples or even in restaurants.

For guan yu specifically, you'll want to focus on your special. I like to use artemis attack and try to pick up charged skewer/explosive skewer. If you don't get the hammers it will feel quite underwhelming. Achilles aspect is probably the best spear aspect, especially for cast builds.

2020年8月21日 · In the Romance, at one point it seemed that Pang De might be about to beat Guan Yu in a duel, but the jealous Yu Jin sounded the gong to signal a retreat and prevent Pang De from getting the glory. After that, in both Romance and history, the flooding river wiped out Yu Jin and Pang De's armies, making them both Guan Yu's captives.

2022年2月16日 · You wanna go for the special I believe. Try to get boons and hammers that synergize with it. Its really powerful, quick and eazy to use. Fun fact, I got the pierced butterfly achievement using Guan Yu special and even managed to get something like 40% plus damage. Try it and see if you like!

2023年7月6日 · Guan Yu is definitely the worst aspect of Varathea, spending a lot of Titan blood just to have half your health instead of 30% is a big nono. If you can play really cautiously or have a lot of hera boons it could counter the effect, but at that point you could try that same style or build with Aquiles' Hades' or Zagreus' aspects.

2021年12月22日 · artemis special (a lot of guides say to grab this for guan yu anyway) the key is that i'm trying for duo boons. athena/demeter gives stubborn roots which slowly refills your health (when you have no death defies, though, so be careful!), giving you less reason to use your spin to compensate for your reduced health bar.

2020年1月22日 · Visually, the Guan Yu spear is gorgeous, and the VFX and SFX are fantastic. I particularly love the soft note that plays whenever you launch the spin attack. The slower attack speed and unique spin attack make the weapon feel very different from the other spear aspects in a way that other weapon aspects often fail to do.
