2016年1月8日 · If so, build with the slope. Building with the slope would mean that the top of the run would slant down with the hill, mirroring (as best it can) the hill. Use the PVC for posts (lots of posts) and the top of the run, but you don't have lay it on the ground -you can then staple the wire apron straight to the ground and lay rocks on top.

2022年9月1日 · If I moved the run 3ft from the fence, well it would give us practically no room infront of it to walk. So I'll prob need to put that plywood at the back of the wall of the run a few feet from the ground to account for poop catching! KK So self-tapping screws (hex hed) using my impact driver. Got it. 2008年5月12日 · As a newbie chicken owner, I don't know how to build fence, but I definitely have to redo what my DH did for our current run. He put steel posts in the corners only (about 10 ft apart), then tied the hardware cloth (buried only about 2 inches) to the posts with steel fence ties.

2022年3月30日 · A good rule of thumb is that you should provide ten square feet of run space per chicken. So a 5'x6' run will accommodate 3 chickens, 6'x10' for 6 chickens, etc. Chickens in a run that is too small are more likely to fight and unsanitary conditions can lead to health issues. 2009年4月17日 · I wanted to build a chicken run and use T-posts, but need some wood posts to make a door. Does anyone use treated garden timber for posts? These chickens are for meat and eggs. Does treated wood hurt birds and humans? Also, would it be a good idea to paint the posts? Sorry for the dumb questions.
