2018年8月21日 · My first guess was that the two clocks were in an area where they couldn't get a strong enough signal to set with the atomic clock. Then I got online and found that these aren't atomic clocks, they're quartz clocks that require setting everything. Sigh. So much for the first guess! Please pardon me for a "Well, of course!" question.

These things are getting popular, but there are several varieties and they can be complicated to set up correctly. Does anyone know of a reliable source of information about these? I understand that the official atomic clock is now 86 minutes to midnight.

2010年10月5日 · As John---I have a Junghans "Mega" atomic clock and have had it since they first came out---a good many years now. It is an excellent clock now and was the same when I first got it----- and that was before USA increased the signal strength. It has a round dial with hands and below the 6:00 is a digital readout of the date.

Whenever your clock gains or loses time, it will stop, go to 12 o'clock and munch up the signal. Then the clock automatically sets the proper time. That's nifty if you have daylight saving time...

2024年1月9日 · Your clock may, or may not, start to chime or strike. Your clock is probably in bad need of a service and a train that doesn't run can block the minute hand from moving foward, usually at about 5 to 8 minutes before the quarter. Do not force the hand forward. This is a nice clock and deserves a full service by a reputatable clock repair person.

Strangely it uses a 9 volt battery backup, and the battery has to be good for both the clock and radio to work, even though it is 110 volt. Now it has started draining the battery in just a few days, so I guess I will need a new clock.

2020年11月9日 · My Centrios atomic cock will not receive the signal. Havetried changing batteries and push the reset on back of clock. My other clocks made by Lacrosse will pick up the signal. Bought a Timex atomic clock picks up signal fine, found it in one day.
