Then I got online and found that these aren't atomic clocks, they're quartz clocks that require setting everything. Sigh. So much for the first guess! It is an excellent clock now and was the same when I first got it----- and that was before USA increased the signal strength. It has a round dial with hands and below the 6:00 is a digital readout of the date.

Your clock is probably in bad need of a service and a train that doesn't run can block the minute hand from moving foward, usually at about 5 to 8 minutes before the quarter. Do not force the hand forward. This is a nice clock and deserves a full service by a reputatable clock repair person.

Strangely it uses a 9 volt battery backup, and the battery has to be good for both the clock and radio to work, even though it is 110 volt.
