I am doing a RHONY rewatch (relisten) while I work and I cannot believe Jason Hoppy and what he did to B re: custody. I know custody battles often are terrible and get really ugly but this guy seems like a legitimate psychopath AND a stalker on top of that. I mean... I watched S3 and parts of Bethenny Ever After back in the day.

In my opinion, both parties were selfish and less than ideal parents. There is a lot unhealthy about Jason. There is also a lot unhealthy about Bethenny.

Bethenney is not an easy person to get along with, but Jason slowly evolved into a nightmare. He was overly involved with his parents and brought them deep into the marriage. His controlling parents had lost a child making Jason their “only”. The parents appear sweet and meek, but strongly disapproved of her fame and glamour.

Maybe she thought she should be married, and Hoppy was what showed up at that moment. She forced him to fit her slot for a husband, and ignored all the flags. He saw an opportunity and money, and someone oddly compliant.
