2011年9月10日 · The Mini-Sentry, because it's often unnoticed till it's too late, has great potential to weaken most enemies past half-health, allowing teammates to destroy them. Don't neglect your other building. Teleporters are a must in any situation, as are Dispensers. I usually place my Mini-Sentry for defense (of me), then my exit, then my Dispenser.

2021年3月10日 · The regular sentry has a lower fire rate than the mini-sentry. It makes it so that people are far more likely to outrun its range. The minisentry deals half the knockback per bullet but fires faster, which tends to disrupt players more often.

2022年7月29日 · A defense engi using minis isn't a bad idea. investing 100 metal into a slightly weaker level 1 sentry allows you to focus on your other buildings like dispenser and teleporter which can arguably be more important for your team to win. The Mini Sentry is optimal for offense. When the round starts, throw down a telly entrance, build a dispenser, bring it to the frontline, and throw down a mini-sentry. Replace when needed. Engy is my secondary class, and I completely agree. I hate that damn mini sentry. It's OP as shit. I refuse to use it unless I am in MvM and I bought it as a second turret, I'd rather be a regular Engy anyway, it seems more challenging to build and maintain a lv3 with spies about than it is to just drop a mini everywhere.

Build the mini sentry in bushes if you can. Corners where no one is looking is also ideal. Basically out in the open is bad unless you intend to simply build another right away. Don't be afraid to be called Hitler because you're using the gunslinger. It's essentially a running joke that mini sentry engineers are Hitler.

2020年4月9日 · For me, the Mini-Sentry solves all problems I have with Engie: I don't have to waste minutes of my life getting my buildings upgraded, I don't have to keep moving them up all the time, and I don't have to worry about them being destroyed. Minis are disposable, I can plop them down anywhere and won't have to worry about them anymore.

2022年6月11日 · Plus, you can upgrade it that much. But the regular sentry, it might take more metals but its actually worth it. It has higher HP than the Mini sentry and it can get stronger as you upgrade it. And it's really hard to destroy it by bullet when its Lvl 3. It does have a slower bullet speed but thats just because the regular sentry is really strong.

2014年10月17日 · The mini sentry has all the same advantages of a normal sentry, except that it has less health. However, it has the ENORMOUS buff of being smaller (harder to hit) and sets up faster. It's more than a little unbalanced in terms of what it allows the sentry to do.

A lot of complaints have been in regards to the Mini-Sentry's area denial and how it seems to create an inevitable death scenario for a lot of players, regardless of the Engineer's skill level.
