Morakniv Camp Axe review - Bushcraft USA Forums
2023年1月22日 · I’ve been asked a few questions about the Morakniv Camp axe so I figured I might as well do a mini review. This is not a brand new axe! But, I have only sharpened it a few times with a standard aluminum oxide stone. It has been unmodified other than a 90 degree spine on the poll. It was a wintery mix all day so I figured I should go play in it.
Finally ordered a Mora Garberg | Bushcraft USA Forums
2022年2月11日 · I can not remember what I paid for the Mora Camp Axe, but it was around $50. I paid $89 for the Condor Camp Axe. Not really sure that the Condor is worth that additional $40 though. In the end, either the Mora Garberg and Camp Axe or the Condor Terrasaur qnd camp axe will serve well, either at about the same price point. .

The Mora of Axes - Bushcraft USA Forums
2013年4月18日 · To this, I would say there is nothing that comes close to how the Mora is represented in the knife category, but the Council Tools Boy's axe, and the mid-sized Wetterlings and GBs are in the running. If you create the category, 'premium Swedish axes', said category would be a strong candidate for most common axe type on BCUSA from my reading of ...
Is the Mora no. 1.0 (3" blade) useful for Bushcraft?
2025年1月31日 · If you need an affordable knife, with less than 3” blade, get a chisel knife from mora or hultafors to accompany the classic 1.0 or a small axe if they are not frowned upon. Reactions: victoratsea and Paul Foreman
Field report on the Mora Kansbol? | Bushcraft USA Forums
2017年9月21日 · On trips like that my tools are generally my camp axe (same weight as an SFA), my Mora Classic #1, and my Victorinox Farmer. For more of a Backpacking trip I tend to swap the axe for my mini hatchet which weighs 12oz. I need to start leaving the Mora behind on those trips, but it's been with me on every outing in recent years.

Is a hatchet enough axe for you in the woods?
2024年1月16日 · Most of the time, I don't need to split wood and for crafting, I usually prefer a big knife like a leuku or small kukri. I will add, that I do really like the mora axe for crafting and carving since it's basically a scandi edged little axe and it's really light, so not tiring to use and decent for some detail work also.
Harbor Freight 1.25 lb axe, ok? | Page 2 - Bushcraft USA Forums
2024年6月21日 · Thanks. I'm starting to feel discouraged about this whole axe thing. I just want to do some fairly light duty splitting as mentioned. I think I'll try batoning my Mora 511 first. If something happens to it I can always get another. I still will take a look at the HF axe when I'm at HF, and will get it if it looks usable.
