Neuschwanstein Castle tickets - July 2022 - Rick Steves
2022年7月15日 · Back in 2008 the view from Mary’s Bridge was spectacular. Toured inside the castle twice years ago - it was underwhelming compared to many other places. However, sometimes one has to see for themselves. Just viewed it from the road last week as it silhouetted in the haze of the heat. I’ve heard that the castle nearby was a really nice.
best day for touring Neuschwanstein Castle - Rick Steves
2019年7月23日 · Neuschwanstein "Castle" (in Germany it's called a palace) is IMO pure unadulterated kitsch (at least inside). I as a German was there once decades ago and will never ever go there again. I can hardly understand why people from all over the world would like to see this kitschy object. It hasn't got any authenticity about it.
Visit to Neuschwanstein Castle without taking the tour (we don’t …
2023年11月1日 · I think you lucked out. The inside of Neuschwanstein is the most overrated thing in Germany. The outside is beautiful, the setting is gorgeous. The inside tour is a hurried march through a pretty boring place. As mentioned above, the hiking trails above the castle are wonderful although Marienbrücke is sometimes closed so check the website.
Neuschwanstein vs. Hohenschwangau - Rick Steves Travel Forum
2015年1月13日 · Neither is technically a castle (Burg); they are palaces (Schlößer). Hohenschwangau was built in around 1800 over the ruins of a real castle by Ludwig's father, king of Bavaria, as a fortified home for his family. Neuschwanstein was built by Ludwig as his palace, having the outward appearance of a real castle, but just for his living quarters.

2017年1月2日 · I have been to Neuschwanstein Castle this year on the RS GAS tour and loved it but as the other poster said, it is a short tour and you are led from room to room on a tour. No photos allowed inside the castle. Do look out the windows of the castle as it is breathtaking ( I am a huge disney fan and this castle puts disney to shame!
Neuschwanstein/Hohenschwangau ticket timing - Rick Steves
2022年5月16日 · 3) Yes, of course. If you leave the time necessary between the tours of the castles, you will manage to do Neuschwanstein as second castle. We recommend, as a suggestion, to be at the carriage for Neuschwanstein one an a half hour before the tour starts at the castle, so that, even if there will be a long queue, you will be on time for the tour.
Climb to Castle Neuschwanstein - Rick Steves Travel Forum
2018年2月10日 · The village Schwangau where you will leave the bus/car is at an altitude of 2610 ft, the castle is at 3070 ft above sea level. That means you'll have to conquer 460 ft. The road leading up to the castle is a proper tarmac road, towards the end it gets a bit steeper.
To Neuschwanstein or not to Neuschwanstein .... - Rick Steves
2016年5月5日 · Here's my 2 cents: It's an easy enough and it's a scenic drive from G-P to Neuschwanstein. The castle is beautiful, as is it's setting. Hohenschwangau, "next door", is very interesting to tour while there, as it's where King Ludwig grew up. The old town of Fuessen, a few minutes drive away, is also worth a look.

2023年1月24日 · The village that Neuschwanstein Castle is in is charming plus you get to see the castle up high from the outside while walking around the village. The tour of the castle was only 30 minutes long, not very interesting and not much was included in the tour, still, you might want to check it off your list of places to see.
Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, or both? - Rick Steves Travel Forum
2013年4月30日 · On the other hand, Neuschwanstein is pretty much a symbol of Germany. I can't imagine going there and not seeing it. In addition to the tour, which is not real long, there is Hohenschwanstein castle nearby, where Lugwig grew up, and there is the town of Füssen, itself. I would probably favor Neuschwanstein, just because it is such an icon.
