Family, friends, and attorneys of incarcerated individuals may be approved to participate in two types of visitation: in-person or video. Rules for visits are the same and can be found below. All visits must be scheduled at least two days in advance.

All in-person and video visits must be scheduled in advance. Visits must be scheduled at least 3 days in advance but cannot be scheduled beyond 60 days in advance. Up to 4 authorized visitors may participate in an in-person visit and up to 6 authorized visitors may participate in a video visit.

Approved visitors can schedule in-person and video visits—as well as participate in video visits—with incarcerated individuals through our Inmate Visitation System (IVS). Visitation with incarcerated individuals is available at all DOC facilities.

Visitors must be pre-approved and on an active visiting list provided by the inmate. Visitors must log onto the visitation scheduling app to schedule a visit. See Visitation Hours. Visits may be scheduled 7 days in advance, but no later than 24 hours before the proposed visit.

Newly arrived inmates will not be eligible for visits until they are classified. The classification process usually takes from 48-72 hours. Visiting will be permitted only during authorized hours on designated visiting days. An inmate may have only one visit per day.

All visitors must be on the inmate's approved visitor list prior to attending a visitation session. When an inmate is initially classified they will provide a list of up to 40 names. They are required to provide all prospective visitors full names, date of birth, address, and relationship.

Each inmate must fill out a visitation list containing 5 possible adult visitor names, addresses and telephone numbers. Your name must be on that list or no visit will be scheduled. An adult is defined as anyone over the age of 18 years old.
