I know, it's mean to laugh at the muffled screeches of weird children throwing slurs at each other, but it was such a beautiful sight to behold.

It's a big part of my childhood. I am grateful for all the memories. A lot of them are core memories of my childhood. I feel lucky to have grown up along aside Ash and Pikachu.

Then we see Pikachu effortlessly destroy 2 of Cynthia’s Pokemon and force her to resort to a cheap trick to take it out. Pikachu is about equal in strength to Leon’s Charizard and probably even a little stronger.

Agreed. Dawn's piplup being sad that it will no longer get to travel with Pikachu and the gang was really sad. Togekiss was hunging piplup and Pikachu comforting them while they were sad. Dawn crying while Ash was sailing off just for him to use her phrase "No need to worry!" or "daijobu!" in the original dialogue to cheer her up was nice too.

Why do you picture Detective Pikachu as sad? I like to picture Detective Pikachu as an eight pound, six ounce, newborn Baby Pikachu, Doesn’t even know a word yet. Just a little infant, so cuddly, but still omnipotent.
