Kayak Fishing at Guana Lake Six Mile Landing
Redfish and trout are common catches in Guana. Most paddlers stay to the middle of the lake since it has a healthy population of alligators, that favor the banks of the lake. If you paddle towards the north where the water has lower salt content you may also catch bass.
Kayak Fishing at Salt Run – JAX Kayak Fishing
The east bank is mostly flats with grass and oyster bed structure. The west bank is populated with docks and a jetty just south of the marina. Water depths get to 15-20′ out in the center. Salt Run is primarily known for its trout fishing, although reds and flounder also are caught. Difficulty: Easy. The entire area is a no wake zone.

Description: Moses Creek and the 206 bridge region of the ICW offer good fishing for reds, trout, and flounder. You will find numerous sandbars, flats, and oyster beds. The pilings at the bridge are also known to produce. Difficulty: Easy.

It is relatively wide open area filled with small islands, finger creeks, sand bars, and oyster beds. There is also a westerly section marked on the map as Hannah West that has some great creeks too. Hannah is known for it's Reds and Trout, although you will find other species as well.

Guana River flows south and ultimately flows into the ICW. The dam is known as a prolific fishing area for reds, black drum, trout, and flounder. Just north of the dam in the lake is known for doormat flounder. South of the dam you will find all varietyies of fish, with plenty of grass, flats, and oyster beds.

It can only be reached by boat and its northern most shores are bathed in the waters of the Boca Grande Pass. The waters which surround the island are patrolled by a plethora of game fish which include, but are not limited to, snook, tarpon, trout, redfish, jacks, spanish mackerel and a numerous variety of large sharks.
